FAQ's
How Many Players Can Take Part?
The maximum number of players per room is 6, and we recommend a minimum of 2 players to give you a chance of completing the game within the hour... unless you're feeling really brave!
How Much Does It Cost?
The cost depends upon the number of players, but is the same regardless of room or venue. Our current prices can be found here.
Is There a Minimum Age?
Where all game participants are under the age of 14yo, we kindly request that at least one adult is present to sign in the group and returns to collect them promptly at the end. Due to the nature of the puzzles at Cluedini, younger visitors will find many aspects too complex and we advise a minimum age of 11yo if playing without adults, or 8yo if playing alongside, albeit we don't operate a strict age policy.
How Do I Book?
Cluedini is strictly available by advance bookings only - it will not be possible to turn up and pay at the door. Bookings can be made via this website and close ahead of play - for late availability, please contact us direct via phone or email.
What If We Are Late?
As we timetable appointments with a constant flow of visitors, if you arrive late you run the risk of your game being shortened with less minutes available to play. We ask that you look to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled game time for your full briefing. Where possible we will always try to accommodate late arrivals though this isn't always an option - those arriving more than 30 minutes after their allotted game time will not be able to play but will still be charged.
Can I Cancel or Rebook?
When a room has been booked and paid for, you will be unable to cancel it. You will be able to reschedule for a future date so long as you provide us with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Please contact us direct should you need to make an amendment to your booking.
Is It Safe To Play Whilst Pregnant?
Yes. The games are not designed to be strenuous in any way. A chair can be found within each room should you need to take a rest.
Are the Rooms Accessible?
Both Cluedini Yarm and Cluedini Darlington are located on upper floors. Please be aware that at both venues there are a number of stairs to climb and sadly (due to the age and listed building status of both premises), no lift.
Inside the venues, we have tried to make everything as accessible and inclusive as possible - feel free to contact us direct to discuss specific circumstances and we'll be able to advise accordingly.

Will I Feel Claustrophobic?
All our game rooms are of a good size and have at least one window. We monitor each game via CCTV, our rooms are not locked (each game is a mission based game rather than a pure 'escape' game), and you can exit the game at any time should you need.
Can I Take Photos or Bring Alcohol?
In order to keep the game a mystery for future players, photography and videography is not allowed within the game rooms. Additionally, we operate a strict zero alcohol policy and if any member of the group is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they will be refused admission with no refund given.
Do I Need to Wear Or Bring Anything Particular?
No. Everything you need to play is provided and everyday comfortable clothing and footwear will be fine.
Following COVID-19, is it safe to visit Cluedini?
Absolutely. We have followed Government guidance to the letter, in many cases going above and beyond what is required to open safely. As a family ran business, we want to create the sort of safe environment that we’d be happy to visit with our own loved ones. Our full Covid-19 response can be found here.
